Self talk

The way you treat yourself tells other people how to treat you.

If you speak to yourself with contempt, you’re telling others that it’s ok to think poorly of you.

Not because they read your mind.

Because they read your behavior.

Your thoughts create your feelings.  Your feelings determine your actions.  When you speak poorly to yourself, you create negative feelings for yourself.  It shows in the way you behave – even if you hide it well.

If you’re annoyed or ashamed of the way you just behaved, other people pick it up.  They might not exactly know why or what, but they know something’s off.  It impacts their trust of you and your capability.

Make sure that you review the beliefs that you have about yourself.

Ask yourself whether you would think the same of your best friend.

If not, well… find something better to think about yourself.

You can change your best friend, but you’re in the same bus with yourself until the end of the ride.

Might as well become besties 😉

Listen to the Excellent Rider podcast, I tell you all the details about how to do just that.

No bad horses, only untrained riders 🐴
