Using competence and pride as motivators

One of the things I love the most about the coaching tools I use daily is the sense of profound mastery I experience whenever I get myself out of a rough patch (such as spending time with my close friends Procrastination, Anxiety and Frustration).

Now when something goes wrong, immediately after the initial “oh, bummer”, I actually get a little excited to have an opportunity to demonstrate and practice my skills.

Getting back to motivation when I feel defeated? Bring it on.

Feeling compassionate when a second ago I was super irritated? Piece a cake.

Transforming stress into playfulness? Yes M’am.

That sense of competence and pride has become a very strong motivator for me.

I feel competent because the method I coach with and teach to my clients is precisely that: a method.

It’s a process.

There are precise steps, which you can learn and get good at. When you follow the process, you get the result you expected.

Systematically.

When you don’t get the result, it’s because you inadvertently missed a step.

If you want to learn this for yourself and become extremely resilient in the face of adverse situations, failures, disappointing results, complicated relationships, feeling stuck and more: book a free consultation with me.

You'll leave the call with a clear view of what needs to change for you to get unstuck and move forward again. I won’t be salesy - that feels icky to me too. I think you will appreciate this conversation.
