I’ve recently read interesting articles about “positive mavericks”: people who put their career at risk in order to make their company progress on a topic (sustainable development, diversity & inclusiveness…) when their management doesn’t directly support it.
This is very close to my heart. I like the idea of visionary employees who take ownership and challenge the business to live out for real what it boasts about in its annual report.
Positive mavericks, here is my small contribution to you!
Swimming against the current requires courage, which comes from three things; I’ll explore each of them during this week’s posts:
First things first. What’s your reason for wanting to change things in your company? How compelling is it to you? What is it worth to you to see this go through? What will you think if the status quo prevails?
If you are not clear & passionate about your why, you won’t make it through any hard time that might be ahead. You’ll cave in; you’ll create disappointment for yourself – maybe even about yourself.
Start there. Make sure you have a clear & compelling one-liner to capture what this change means to you.
No bad horses, only untrained riders 🐴
I can't wait to hear what you want to share!
