Mélanie Boucarut

This morning, I woke up filled with anxiety.

What? But Mélanie, you’re a coach, you’re supposed to have it down?!

Y’all, I’m human. I have a human brain. It does what it has evolved over 5 million years to do: keep me in the safety of my comfort zone, doing only familiar things.

And since right now I’m expanding a lot, serving more clients, contacting more people, learning tons of stuff I’ve never done before, my brain is in constant panic mode.

It literally thinks I’m about to die.

It doesn’t make a difference between me presenting my services to a potential client and me facing a hungry tiger.

So when I got up today: knot in my stomach, tight throat, looping thoughts: good morning, anxiety!

A couple years ago, I would have gotten stuck in a loop of panicked thoughts.

How I’m not doing anything right. Going directly into the wall and not doing anything about it.

I would have had a detailed mental review of exactly what I didn’t do last week that I should have done and how this is creating this lack of control this week…

Except that now, I have the tools to manage this. I woke up at 06:00 with a feeling of impending disaster. By 07:00 I’m calm, focused, and productive.

That’s what coaching can do for you.

No bad horses, only untrained riders 🐴
