What do you believe about money? Do you think that it’s hard to make, stressful, always in shortage, a source of worry?
Or do you know that it’s like a river: it flows, it’s abundant, and it’s not because you take a lot for your own use that your neighbor downstream will have less?
The thoughts you have about money create your emotions about money. And your emotions about money determine how you behave around money. Which in turn, create your financial results.
You don’t believe me?
Alright, who here doesn’t associate money and hard work? (When every evidence points to money coming from perceived value, and definitely not from hard work. Ask any ER nurse in times of pandemic if you need more proof.)
When you believe that to have more money, you’d need to work harder: do you apply for that higher paying position? Do you learn about financial investments? Do you figure out ways to produce more value?
Yeah. Neither do I.
Our thoughts about money determine our results with money.
So let’s talk more about money thoughts this week. Stay tuned, and in the meantime tell me all the thoughts you have about money. I'll address them (anonymously) in the newsletter.
